Egypt tours resume after Government amends travel advice

Egypt tours resume after Government amends travel advice: Red Sea Holidays announced today it will recommence excursions to Luxor from all Red Sea resorts with immediate effect.

"We are thrilled that the travel advice has been changed and delighted to restart our hugely popular Luxor excursion programmes," said sales director Jason Hilton.

Excursions take visitors to the Karnak Temples, the Colossi of Memnon and the Valley of the Kings, which were out of bounds for months due to the Foreign Office advice to British tourists to stay away from much of Egypt.

Hi Jane, thisi is good news all round. I do wish Egyptair would follow suit and put the direct Monday flight back on from London to Luxor, I am booked to come in March 2014 and have just been called by Egyptair to say this will now be via Cairo - and at £422.35, Egyptair are doing nothing to help the current situation!
