A bit of fun sent to me by our friends at Maat Productions http://www.maat.com.au. They organise group trips to Egypt from Australia and are going to be staying at my flats. They sent me this as a suggestion for my swimming pool.
It's not such a great symbol for a swimming pool, if you know what it really is! This is a determinative for "dead person, fallen man, enemy" and related words. Notice the axe/knife stuck in his head? The water-sign has nothing to do with the meaning- it's part of a verb.
