Shopping in Luxor.

Went out with a guest shopping. Caravanserai is by Medinet Habu, the pictures speak for themselves. I adore this place, so much better than the souk. Even the entrance is interesting.

As for the inside, so many lovely things. Hand woven scarves, pottery, glass, little dolls.

These were a couple of pieces at Selket alabaster that I liked.

Looks great! Where in Luxor is this? Love to check it out next time I'm there!

Go along the main road past the colossus of Memnon, take the first left as though you were going to Medinet Habu then it is on the left about 1/4 of a mile. Well before Habu

There is a coffee & souvenir shop across from Medinet Habu that sells those same scarves. They are so beautiful, with happy color combinations in a sort of nubby cotton. The owner may get them from this same shop. Haven't found them anywhere else. On my visits I always buy quite a few. Wish I could shop there right now!
